The minimum requirements for the conversion of a PPL or CPL/IR pilot licence issued by a non-JAA Member State to a JAR-FCL licence are :
Requirements for non-JAA PPL licence : *the applicant shall hold a licence issued in accordance with ICAO Annex 1 *the applicant shall hold at least a JAR-FCL Class 2 medical certificate *to hold radiotelephony privileges acceptable to the Authority *the applicant shall comply with the flying experience requirements set out below :
- 100 h as pilot of aeroplanes
- Pass a written examination in Air Law and Human Performance and Limitation
- Pass the PPL skill test
Requirements for non-JAA CPL/IR licence : *the applicant shall hold a licence issued in accordance with ICAO Annex 1 *the applicant shall hold at least a JAR-FCL Class 1 medical certificate *the applicant shall comply with the flying experience requirements set out below :
- 1000 h as PIC in commercial air transport since gaining an IR
- Pass a written examination at the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
